Volunteers

EDC’s Shaqodoon program fosters volunteers and creates opportunities for participation. EDC recognizes volunteerism is a potent way of engaging young Somali people from various financial and academic backgrounds into developing useful work skills and habits. Volunteerism benefit both society and the individual, by strengthening trust and solidarity among communities, and allowing individual volunteers to grow on a personal level as well as professionally.
