A Two-Day Workshop in Mogadishu Engages Communities for Positive Social Change
A two-day workshop on radio drama design was recently held in Mogadishu, where community representatives from Buufow and Shalambood localities came together. This workshop, an integral part of the Promoting Inclusive Action for Peacebuilding (PIAP) project, funded by the UN Peace-building Fund is led by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN FAO), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and implemented by Shaqodoon Organization. The workshop was held with the aim of creating compelling radio drama episodes that would promote peaceful coexistence, community cohesion, and drive positive social transformation.
The workshop placed a strong emphasis on fostering a participatory approach, allowing participants to actively contribute to the design process. They engaged in dynamic brainstorming sessions, in-depth character profiling, and meticulous storyline development. By harnessing their collective creativity and insights, the participants crafted narratives that deeply resonated with the target audience.
