EU Ambassador Visits Shaqodoon Headquarters to Strengthen Partnership for Community Development

Shaqodoon Organization was honored to host a high-level delegation from the European Union in Somalia/Somaliland, led by Her Excellency Ambassador Francesca Di Mauro, at its headquarters. The visit marked an important moment in the ongoing partnership between Shaqodoon and the European Union, reaffirming a shared commitment to sustainable development, innovation, and community empowerment across Somalia/Somaliland.

The delegation was warmly received by Shaqodoon’s leadership and team, including the Regional Coordinator, Ahmed Yusuf Shaqodoon, who led the Ambassador and her delegation on a guided tour of the headquarters. During the tour, the Ambassador was introduced to Shaqodoon’s operational departments, innovative tools, and program delivery approaches that support youth employment, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and community resilience.

The visit also included a formal meeting between the EU delegation and Shaqodoon’s management and technical teams. Discussions focused on the impact of EU-funded programs, lessons learned from ongoing initiatives, and opportunities to scale up successful interventions. Both parties exchanged views on strengthening collaboration to address pressing social and economic challenges while expanding inclusive and sustainable solutions for communities across the region.

As part of the visit, Shaqodoon showcased key innovations and program developed through its partnership with the European Union. These initiatives demonstrate how strategic cooperation can deliver tangible results, empower local communities, and promote long-term social progress.
