EU IMPACT: Advancing Green Skills, Circular Economy & Agri-Food Innovation in Somalia
The EU IMPACT Project is a transformative initiative led by Shaqodoon Organization with support from the European Union, aimed at equipping 3,500+ youth and adults in Somalia with the green skills needed to thrive in a sustainable economy. Through partnerships with TVET institutions, government, and private sector actors, the project strengthens Somalia’s transition to renewable energy, circular economy practices, and resilient agri-food systems.
EMERGE: Empowering Marginalized Groups through Economic Graduation in Somalia (2024–2029)
EMERGE uses the Graduation Approach to help vulnerable households transition from dependency to stability through structured support: cash transfers, coaching, skills training, and access to productive assets.
SIDA III: Inclusive Livelihoods for Vulnerable Pastoral Groups (Somaliland & Puntland)
Shaqodoon, as part of a consortium led by World Vision Germany and funded by SIDA, is implementing SIDA III in Somaliland and Puntland to build climate resilience and economic inclusion for vulnerable pastoral and agro-pastoral communities. The project empowers youth and women through digital skills training, entrepreneurship support, and innovative tools like M-Dalag and BulshoKaab, while promoting community-led development and accountability through tech-enabled feedback systems.
YOU-ACT: Youth Organizing for Unity and Conflict Transformation in Jowhar
Project aims to empower young people and local stakeholders in Jowhar to become leaders in conflict transformation and peacebuilding. Through inclusive dialogues, skill-building workshops, digital tools, and inter-clan collaboration, the project fosters sustainable solutions to community conflict and enhances grassroots leadership for peace.
Promoting Inclusive Action for Peacebuilding (PIAP)
Through collaboration with women and youth associations, the project seeks to foster leadership skills and engagement in addressing inter-communal tensions, enhancing mutual understanding, and promoting peaceful coexistence.

Build peace and stability in Somalia by improving opportunities for youth to engage in peace-building, skills development, income-generation, entrepreneurship, sports and culture.

Focus on building the entrepreneurial and business skills of the youth in the cross-border area, which are necessary for establishing and running their businesses.

Bits School - Digital Design
Provide ICT training to youth in disadvantaged positions. Establish Bits school in Hargeisa; recruitment and ongoing training of 96 hard to reach and at risk youth from Hargeisa IDP’s communities.

Empower Somaliland youth through strengthened livelihood and employment skills, access to wage and self-employment opportunities and youth network activities.
One-Stop–Shop (OSS) Centers
Use SMS-based platform to connect young people directly with jobs, internships and training opportunities, while around 300 private sector employers will participate in an employment platform.
